So I was just thinking that we would have a problem tying specific gods to bonuses, item, etc, because I wanted players to be able to create them. However I realized that can be part of the perk of building a temple (facility). Building one allows you to define your God’s personality, values, and bonuses. Anyone who registers under that temple as a follower will receive some of those perks, and maybe it can even have it’s own special system (like maybe you get rewards for converting people etc.
@Alutka, to your point, I like these ideas. However, I think this would take the place of any possible ‘enchantment’ magic. It would be an exclusive ability that religious followers (maybe at a certain level) would have. At the same time, I think it should be part of the crafting system too so that it isn’t too easy to get that kind of power - you’d still need high quality ingredients and skill to ‘bless’ (or curse?) an object. Either that, or there needs to be some kind of religion hierarchy/level system where you get this ability after a certain point. In the interest of balance. It’s definitely interesting, I like where this is going !
